Marie Murphy Principal Message
April 8, 2022
Happy April!
I hope you had a relaxing spring break! The students jumped right back into their learning this week and have brought the halls back to life with their laughter and fun. Below you will find a principal video message that was shared with students today. In it I discuss changes to the lunch protocols, future IAR testing, and dress code expectations.
I cannot believe how fast the year has gone by. I look forward to experiencing the traditional end of the year events at Marie Murphy for the first time with the kids!
All the best,
Elena Ryan
6th Grade Lunch Changes
In our current setting students can sit in circles of 10-15-20 kids, but in the cafeteria they will have a limit of 16 seats per table. This will be a big change for the students. We will have plenty of adult support in the cafeteria on Monday to help with this shift.
Please talk to your child about being inclusive, respectful, and kind as children work to find a place to sit. After 3 or 4 days we will all be in a table routine, but this first day will feel very big for many students. I am excited to support and welcome our 6th graders to a more typical middle school lunch setting!

USERNAME_ synopsis
From the playwright Brian Hampton, this poignant and humorous satire presents the ramifications of a plugged-in life and the benefits of finding balance with good old-fashioned human connection.
Cameron is already feeling pressure from peers and family to engage more in technology and social media. The pressure mounts when Cameron starts at a new school, Network Technology School, where social media is a way of life and the entire student body goes only by usernames. Cameron is expected to join a school club styled after specific social media approaches — from humble braggers and shameless self-promoters to notorious trolls and conspiracy theorists.
But what if Cameron doesn’t fit any of those molds? And is Cameron the only one who feels alone in a sea of social media, or could there be others who feel the same?
Welcome Paula Delehanty!
