Top 10 Cardinal Celebrations
2. The District Basketball brackets have been released. Congrats to our girls who received the number #1 seed and the boys #6. You can catch our Cardinals in District competition during the week of February 26th in Pleasant Hill.
3. Congrats to the 8 DECA students who competed in District Competition last week and have earned the right to move on to the State Competition in March!
4. Three hundred and twenty sophomores from CHS and eight area high schools attended the 3rd annual Clinton Technical School "Sophomore Event" yesterday. Students had the chance to learn about all of the great Career and Tech Ed programs available to them through the Clinton Technical School. Shout-out to CTS counselor, Lisa Kaiser, for her hard work on this event! See more here.
5. Congrats to the 18 SkillsUSA students who received medals at District Competition last weekend!
6. It's Career and Technical Education month! We are fortunate to have a great Technical School that helps to prepare our students for life after high school. CHS student and FBLA State President, Sadie Vernon and teacher, Susan Hutcherson spent part of their week in Jefferson City helping legislators understand the importance of Career and Tech Ed programs!
7. Students in Ms. Roberta Dye's class had a fun day of making surprise Valentine deliveries to their moms this week. Students also delivered Valentines and spent time with residents at The Arbors, an assisted living center.
8. Innovative and creative lessons were seen in classrooms across the district this week as teachers developed and planned Winter Olympic themed lessons! From STEM projects, to Math, Writing and even PE....we saw teachers integrating the excitement of the Olympics into their classrooms.
9. The CSD was well-represented as close to 80 FBLA students participated in the District Leadership Conference held at UCM earlier this week. Thirty-four students are moving on to State Competition in April. See more here.
10. Henry Elementary students shared kindness this week as 1st and 2nd graders made and delivered surprise notes to staff members' cars at Clinton Middle School, the district maintenance department and central office!
Things you Need to Know
Education Foundation 5K-Calling all runners and walkers!
The Clinton Education Foundation will hold their 3rd annual 5k Walk/Fun Run on April 7th. They are looking for staff members to sign up and participate! There are prizes for the largest team as well as the best-costumed team! Every year the Education Foundation supports our teachers by funding Classroom Impact Grants and by funding two $1000 scholarships for Clinton seniors.

Teacher and Support Staff of the Year-Can you believe it's time to nominate those amazing educators and support staff that make this a great place to learn and work?
The Clinton School District, along with the Education Foundation for Clinton Students Inc., is seeking nominations for the Teacher of the Year and the Support Staff Employee of the Year Awards.
The Teacher of the Year Award is presented to a teacher who has had a special impact on students in the district. The Teacher of the Year receives a $750 award from the Education Foundation for Clinton Students. Any non-administrative certified employee may be nominated for the award. This includes teachers, counselors, and library media specialists.
The Support Staff Employee of the Year is designed to show the district’s appreciation for its support staff employees. The Support Staff Employee of the Year receives a $500 award. Any non-certified employee in the district can be nominated for this award. This includes secretaries, paraprofessionals, social workers, and nurses.
Staff, students, parents, and community members are encouraged to submit nominations. Deadline for nominations is 3/23. **Nomination forms can be found at the bottom of this newsletter.
Last Day of School-Don't forget....due to 3 weather-related school closures, the last day of school for students is now May 21st and May 22nd for teachers!
Yearbook Trivia Night-The yearbook staff will host the 9th annual Trivia Night on March 9th in the high school commons and wants YOU to participate in this night of fun!
The doors will open at 6:30 and the questions will start at 7:00. It is $100 a team to enter. Teams can have up to 10 people. Please consider getting a group of friends together and forming a team. It is a fun night. You do not have to answer questions in front of anyone. You simply discuss the questions at the table with your team and write down one answer per team. The theme this year is "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?".

Moving Files to G-Suite-Have you started moving your files yet?
Please refer to an email from Dr. Monroe, sent on Feb 1st, for more information. As a reminder, here is the timeline:
Beginning Now-May 25th (end of school)
Migrate your personal “H” drive to G Suite.
Between Now and March 26th (Spring Break week)
In your network shared drives, please begin to purge old, outdated files so the new Team Drives will be up to date. Technology will create the New Team Drives and the Team Drives will go online April 1.
- Classroom Shares will need to be migrated by May 25th. More information coming soon.
