Classes of the Week

Each week our Related Arts, Custodians, Office Staff and other Non-Homeroom teachers, select two classes of the week. These classes are chosen for their cooperation, positive attitudes, and willingness to help others. The chosen classes receive extra recess, a certificate, and a banner flag that hangs outside of their classrooms.

Dragon Students of the Month

Congratulations to the following Dragons for being selected as this month's Dragons of the Month. These students were selected by their classmates for being HUMBLE in their classrooms. These Dragons received a DBES swag bag, popcorn, and attended a brief celebration ceremony. Congrats Dragons!

Notes from Mrs. Callahan, Nurse at DBES

Field Day is expected to be seasonably hot. Please be sure that you begin to pre -hydrate your students 2-3 days before their field day. Just brining a water bottle will not be sufficient hydration for field day participation. Dehydration can happen really fast and can be dangerous. We do not want our students to become over heated and miss their fun!

Nurse Callahan has just sent home medical forms this week for NEXT school year. Please be sure and check your child’s back pack / folder. All medications currently in the health room MUST BE PICKED UP no later than Friday 5/27 at 1 PM. Please contact nurse Callahan if you need your medications to be given to another designated parent or if you need to make arrangements for extenuating circumstances.

Student Placement- Parent Input- 2022-2023 School Year

As we near the end of this school year, we are already in the planning stages for next school year. One of the most important parts in our planning efforts over the summer is student and class placement. Every year as we begin the student placement process for the upcoming school year, we seek parent input if you wish to provide it. Parent input is used to help us best determine the type of teacher that you think best serves your student's needs. It's is important to remember that families can't request a specific teacher. Please see the link below to access our google form to provide your input.

Forgot to Order a Yearbook?

Did you forget to order a yearbook? You are in luck—we ordered some extras! Please email Sara McCart at mccarts@fortmillschools.org if you would like a Soft Cover ($30) or Hard Cover ($35) along with your student’s first and last name and quantity desired. If you have funds in your student’s lunch account that you would like to go toward the cost of the yearbook, please indicate that in your email. We will sell these on a first come-first served basis! Can’t remember if your ordered one? Log into Pay Fees and click on “Paid” to see if you purchased one.

FINAL REPORT CARDS

Final Report cards will be published to Paren tPortal Friday, May 27th around noon. Please use this link from a computer as this function will not work from the cell phone app: https://fortmill.powerschool.com/public/home.html. Choose your student and then select Student Reports. This is a great time to print that last report card that many sports groups might request!
