Course Scheduling Edition 2021-22

Course Scheduling for the 2021-22 School Year

Hello Bronco Families,

It is that time of year (yes, already!) for you and your student to plan their schedule and courses for next year. This newsletter is specific to that process alone, including links, videos, dates, and course packets.

If you have questions, we are hosting a parent night on February 9th to assist with this. Additionally, students can reach out to their counselor for appointments to talk through their choices. Finally, we will be meeting 1:1 with students as an admin and counseling team, in the first couple of weeks in March.

There are two steps that must be completed for course selection:

  1. Student must complete the google form
  2. Student must enter courses requested on Homelink.

The sooner the better with these requests, but our deadline for all students is February 26th.

We look forward to planning with you and your student, and planning for the upcoming school year.

Course Scheduling Timeline and Instructions

This year, we have moved to an all-digital process. When your student is ready to submit their course requests, they will do so through a google form (below for each grade level), and through their student homelink accounts. (instructional video below) Both of these entries must be made, and both through student accounts.

We have several information nights coming to assist with course selection. You can join these meetings and ask questions through either the Zoom link or the YouTube Channel. Meetings will be recorded and posted later for review.

February 9 (Tues) Current 9-11th Info Night (6-7pm) and AP & Concurrent Enrollment Info Night (7- 8pm)
February 17 (Weds) Course Information Fair (11am - 12pm - For Students Only)
February 25 (Thurs) Open House (6 - 8pm) Links will be sent separately.
February 26 (Fri) Course Requests DUE (Incoming 9th grade due March 29th)
March 1 - 12 (M-F) Class Appointments for course counseling in students' PE class.

Please take some time to discuss course selection with your student, and if you have any questions, reach out to your students' academic counselor. Counselors will be hosting open office hours to assist students and advise as needed through the month of February.

Stay connected through ParentSquare!

Parentsquare is our new district communication tool. While all parents receiving communication from homelink will automatically receive emails from us when we use this tool, there is greater functionality when you download the app or access messages from your PC.

Parents can see school, teacher and district announcements in a feed, similar to Facebook; can stay on top of upcoming events with the link to the master calendar, and can communicate 1:1 with administrators or teachers through the messaging feature. Parents can also quickly address and clear absences using parentsquare.

Don't miss out! Sign up with your student's information today, and stay connected!
