Every month in the year has a story. In fact every month has many stories, important events, and holidays to offer. The Games- The first modern Olympic games were held in Athens, Greece on April 6 1896

HOOPS FOR HEART
by Lyla Zaremba, your Student Council President
The cost is AS MUCH AS YOU CAN RAISE! But if you decide to be on a team and compete it is $5.00 per player donation.
Each team will play at least 3 seven minute games. Teams can be boys or girls or co-ed and can have 3-5 people. You can have one non-Silverbrook student play on each team (this includes a teacher, parent, sibling, ect….) You can only be on one team!
Say you don’t want to play on a team but you want to go and cheer on your fellow classmates. It is only a $5.00 donation to come and watch. There will be a bounce house, concessions, trivia and many more fun activities.
All the money raised goes to the American Heart Association. Hope you decide to be part of a team!! The more teams the better.
6th Grade HERITAGE FOOD DAY
by Avery Niedzwiecki
This year 6th grade hosted a Heritage Food Day on Friday, March 24th. The Heritage Food Day was an event where you brought a food dish that was from a country which your heritage came from.
This year's Heritage Food Day was a big hit! It was wonderful to see and taste all the yummy foods 6th grade students brought in! We had presentations on the country of our heritage and of course the food tasting!
Fifth graders, I'm sure you will love this event next year when you get to 6th grade. It was so much fun, and I hope it is a big hit again next year!
BOOK REVIEW : THE ONE AND ONLY BOB by Katherine Applegate
by Zooey Melatis
And the winner is…
The One and only Bob is a sequel to the Newbery award winner, The One and Only Ivan. The One and only Bob is an awesome read that anybody would enjoy and has now won the Golden Archer Award.
Summary:
The One and Only Bob is told by Bob’s (The main character) point of view as a dog. In case you can’t “speak dog,” the author even includes a “Canine Glossary” so you can understand what Bob says. For instance, the “water bowl of power” is really the metal bowl on the floor. Or, “the uncomfortable human chair in the bathroom”, (I’ll let you figure that one out). The One and only Bob is a very funny book, and I recommend it if you are into animals or need a good laugh.
HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL JR. REVIEW
by Will Oechsner
One of the most noticeable things about this production is the cast. One of the portrayals I enjoyed was Coach Bolton (Gym Teacher), because it was so easy to see the internal conflict between Troy and his father, making his redemption that much better.
Another neat performance was Ms. Darbus (Drama Teacher) and the constant strict feel to the character, along with the conflict between her and Coach Bolton.
Another character that was portrayed well was Kelsi, due to the constant control loss for the character, that almost made you feel sorry for her.
One last performance I’d like to highlight is the character of Jack Scott, for the fun and humorous portrayal.
Other than the cast, another impressive aspect was the dance choreography. The complexity of it made it obvious that they had spent months on it.
Props to all who worked for the past three months to bring this production to life!
VIDEO GAME REVIEW : HOGWARTS LEGACY
BY MILES RIEMER
Hogwarts Legacy is an exciting new open-world video game that takes place around 100 years before the Harry Potter series. Explore a vast magical world, containing many different creatures for you to tame and befriend.
My rating is 4.9 out of 5 stars. This game is awesome! The combat is amazing, it’s entirely open-world, and taming magical beasts is so much fun!
My only complaints are that there are a few glitches in the game, such as Trolls randomly teleporting behind you, and shield charms on enemies not showing up at times.
That is why I would rate Hogwarts Legacy 4.9 out of 5.
