Principal Corner
Hello Elliott Family,
In honor of Black History Month we will be focusing on Influential Young Women Past and Present. Parent Pride has generously purchased a book and activity for each class. There will be an activity that goes along with the book. These are the people that each grade will be focusing on:
K- Simone Biles
1st, Wolf and Sawyers,- Ruby Bridges
2- Misty Copeland (ballerina)
3- Amanda Gorman (poet)
4- Marley Dias (activist)
5- Claudette Colvin (refused to give up her seat BEFORE Rosa Parks)
The Bond construction work will be beginning soon! The installation of a 6 foot high construction fence around the blacktop (where our new gym will be constructed) is scheduled for this week. This will affect some classroom arrival and dismissal doors. Please see the diagram below for those changes.
Reminder:
Students who do not take the bus to school are to arrive at school no earlier than 8:25 unless accompanied by a parent who stays with the child until 8:25. We want to ensure that all students are being properly supervised.
If your student arrives after 8:30 an adult will need to sign him or her in at the office. Entrance after 8:30 is via the main door only. You must have a picture ID.
