Relay for Life Change Competition

Please help Helena Elementary School raise money for Person County Relay for Life by sending in your loose change.

Bins will be placed in each classroom to collect change starting Tuesday, September 4th.


The K-2 and the 3-5 classes that collects the most change will win a Sundae Party.


Classroom Collection days will be on September 6th, September 11th, and September 13th.

Help us meet our goal of raising $1000.

Parking and Traffic Reminders

It is essential that all adults picking up students follow the traffic guidelines. This is a major safety concern. At no time are cars to pass others unless directed by the Staff Member on duty. This includes when merging from the main line into the K-2 line in front of the building or the 3-5 line that travels into the bus parking lot. The lane traveling from the building must remain open at all times.

Turn Signals should be used by those intending to turn left.


We appreciate your attention to these safety guidelines.

Volunteers

Any parents who wish to volunteer or serve as chaperones on field trips must complete the Volunteer Application each year. This is the same application used to volunteer to assist with our APT.

Helena Association of Parents and Teachers-APT

Helena Elementary APT (Association of Parents and Teachers) is our own version of PTA. All funds raised directly support our Students and Teachers.

A fee for joining is NOT required.

Meetings are scheduled monthly. Any parent wishing to attend is invited.


The next APT Meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 8th @ 6:15 in the Media Center.
