Cyber Robotics Coding Competition (CRCC)
Sponsored by the Intelitek STEM and CTE Education Foundation in partnership with local partners, the Cyber Robotics Coding Competition (CRCC) introduces middle school-aged students and educators to coding and virtual robotics at no or low cost through a fun competition model. CRCC is cloud-based – no hardware/robot purchases – and self-directed by students during and outside of school time. Coding or robotics experience is not required by either students or educators: the virtual 2-3 week skill-building Boot Camp prepares students for the Week of Code (qualifier), which feeds into a live, in-person Finals codeathon. CRCC is powered by the CoderZ Cyber Robotics Learning Environment, developed by Intelitek.
Preview this video from previous competitions to learn more about the CRCC events.
Benefits:
- CRCC enables STEM in the classroom in an exciting and gamified way that students love
- There is no cost to you to participate
- Teachers can motivate students and students can motivate and help one another
- The inclusive nature of the event helps promote STEM participation
- Students can participate in class, after school or at home
The Fall 2018 Competition Cycle will begin in September 2018 with teacher training/PD and run through mid-November for the live, in-person finals event.
No or low-cost to participate in CRCC; participants are offered a discounted price to purchase CoderZ, the online platform that hosts the CRCC.
This is a Call To Action (CTA) to bring CRCC to your community!
