"Preparing Every Student"
Math: Samantha May was nominated by her math teacher for the Falcon Education Foundation Award and we just found out that she received it! We are proud of Sami and are pleased that all of her hard work is being recognized. Another pretty awesome feat is that 40% of Algebra 2 students have already shown mastery in their math class equivalent to a full year’s worth of work! I’m very proud of how hard they have been working. Students also continue to work on their final group projects/presentations. I am excited to see what they produce!
Tech/Electives: 3D printing has been an absolute hit in the PPEC makerspace. This month, Brandon Webb has been designing and modeling a 3D printed car. The design process has been engaging, and teaching the value of planning and brainstorming, research, troubleshooting, and collaborating. Brandon is continuing to work on this passion project and hopefully will have a fully functional 3D printed race car. This image are the wheels specifically designed to fit the motors used to power the car. For April, students will be challenged to create a advertisement for PPEC. The winner will receive a PPEC hoodie!

Tech Tip
Are you a Google Scholar?!?!
To succeed in College students need to know how to properly research and use reference materials and databases to reduce time spent researching and surfing the internet. Use Google scholar to ensure that you are using a credible database for research. The more specific your search phrase the better your results be.
