Oath of Office
Three Jarrell ISD Board of Trustees were sworn into office Place 1 - Cliff Tschoerner, Place 2 - Crystal Phalen, and Place 6 - Jenny Arnold. The three trustees were up for reelection but were unopposed. Place 3, represented by Bruce Epstein, was also up for reelection. However, Mr. Epstein decided not to run, and there were no other candidates. Bruce Epstein will remain the Place 3 Trustee until someone is appointed.

- Approved the consent agenda.
- Approved the Consideration and Possible Action to Approve Technology Purchases for 2021 Bond JHS Expansion project
- Approved the Consideration and Possible Action to Approve the 2023 Bond Elementary School #4 Equipment Guaranteed Maximum Price #1
- Approved the Annual Audit Report by Jaynes, Reitmeier, Boyd & Therrell, P.C.
- Approved the additions and revisions to Board Policy CKE (LOCAL) to address the establishment of the Jarrell ISD Police Department
- Approved an increase in pay for Long-term Substitutes (More information is below)
- Approve a retention stipend to all Jarrell ISD employees on record as of December 1, 2023. (More information is below)

Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
Each one of our campuses has a PTO. Joining the PTO is an excellent way to participate in what's happening on your child's campus. The PTO supports teachers, hosts campus events, and many more activities that make a difference.

Community Partnerships
Jarrell ISD is proud to partner with local organizations and businesses to offer our families additional educational opportunities and resources.
Healthy Kids Running Series
Grab a friend or two, and join the Healthy Kids Running Series. It's a 5-week youth running experience for ages 2-14 that promotes a healthy lifestyle! The first race is Sunday, October 1st.
Where: Jarrell Elementary Playground Area
Dates: Sundays - 10/1, 10/15, 10/29, 11/12, 11/26
Time: 3pm (We race youngest to oldest)
Cost: $45, includes a tech t shirt and week 5 finishers medal!

Farmers Market at JISD
The Farmers Market at JISD, is the first Saturday of every month. You can get up to 25 lbs of fresh produce for free! It's open to anyone at no cost to you!
It is at 508 N 5th St from 9 to 11 am.
