Donations to McKay Library

Honoring the Life of Debbie Alvarez

Donations have been collected for library books in the name of Debbie Alvarez,

aka The Styling Librarian, a literacy champion, and amazing Teacher Librarian. Donations from individuals and Follett School Solutions totaled $1078.00 to purchase 76 beautiful new books for the McKay Elementary Library.

Many of the books selected were titles Debbie loved and reviewed on her blog. Titles were also selected for the McKay makerspace project started by Debbie and supported with funding from the Oregon Association of School Libraries and the Beaverton Education Foundation.
