Postcard: Gir National Park
The Gir national park is a forest and wildlife sanctuary in Gujarat, India. The park is the sole home for Asiatic Lions and has diverse flora and fauna. The Gir National Park is a very important and protected area for wild animals and plants. Godavari, Raval, Machhundri, Hiran, Shingoda, Shetrunji, and Datardi are all major rivers in the Gir region. There are about 2,375 total fauna species including mammals, birds, reptiles, and insects. The Gir National Park is very important to wildlife and would be a very fun place to visit!

What Is Diwali?
Diwali is a celebration also known as Divali or "the festival of lights." Diwali takes place every year on Dhanteras, or 2 days before Diwali, and ends on Bhai Dooj, or 2 days after Diwali. Diwali is celebrated annually, in Autumn. On the night of Diwali, Hindus dress in their best outfit and light candles and lamps inside and outside of their homes. After they pray, fireworks light up the sky, then families have feasts. Once families are done with their feast, they exchange gifts with each other.

Hinduism
Hinduism is an ancient religion that is practiced all around the globe. Most Hindus would worship either 1 or more than 1 deities, they would also value meditation practice. Deities are Gods and Goddesses, for example there are Vishnu, Shiva, and Shakti. Another God goes by the name Brahman, but some Hindus think of the Ultimate Reality as Brahman. Dharma is 1 of 4 purposes for human life in Hinduism, Dharma means to fulfill one's purpose. Karma as a religious term means actions that would affect one's luck in their life and the next. The ultimate spirit goal for most Hindus would to be released from the cycle of samsara.

The Ganges river is very important to the Hindus because they believe it is the lord Shiva's hair. The river is worshiped and considered as a holy river.
