Literacy
DRA2: Assessment Window is August 15th- September 20th.
Suggested Pacing for Administering B.O.Y Literacy Assessments:
Aug 15th-Aug 30th: All small group time spent completing DRAs. Begin DRA testing with your most at-risk readers.
Sept 2nd-Sept 20th: Facilitate one small group lesson each day. Use the remaining small group time to complete DRAs/QPS.
Language Arts - Minimum of 12 grades (Writing-8, Spelling-4), excluding homework
Writing Examples:
Written compositions (scored in part or in whole using a rubric)
Written compositions demonstrating the use of written conventions (grammar and mechanics)
Research products (graded in manageable chunks using a rubric)
Spelling Examples:
Spelling Tests or any other assessment of students’ spelling ability
Word Wall Words: If teachers ordered word wall words from the Print Shop prior to Wednesday, 8/7, you will be missing a couple of words. Please use these link to print the missing words. This will ensure you have all of the words listed on your Word Study Scope and Sequence.
Fifth Grade Missing Words: Color; WhiteSocial Studies & ELAR
TEKS Side-by-Sides: Both Social Studies and ELAR TEKS Side-by-Sides can be ordered from the Print Shop. They can be found in the Print Shop Catalog and ordered as K-5 bundles or by individual grade levels.

Science
New Item Please make sure to have science safety posters up in your classroom and science lab. Also science safety contracts need to be signed and placed in student journals. Safety posters are located on the GPS under Instructional Resources-Science Lab Safety. Please let me know if you need help locating this.
New Item Great news, we will be syncing eSchool and STEMscopes on a nightly basis.
Teachers no longer need to enter a new students as they will get added during our nightly sync.
Please don't add students, as this can mess up the auto process.
If a student is not showing up in STEMscopes after 24 hours, Notify a science coordinator.
New Item ADI training on Super Saturday Sept. 28th for 4th and 5th grade teachers of science that have not yet been trained in ADI Link
Training for new to teaching science
ZOOM session will be offered on August 27 from 3:30-5:00.
Credit for this session will be granted through eduphoria by each campus.

MATH
New Item ESTAR/MSTAR Fall Assessment Window for Grade 2 - Grade 5 opens August 26 and closes October 18. Teachers and students will not be able to access this assessment until mid-Sept. We will send out communication once this assessment is available for teachers and students to access. The dates for this year have been added to the Assessment section of the GPS. Additional information related to ESTAR/MSTAR. Please let us know if you have questions.
New Item ALL campuses will have access to Imagine Math this school year. All students enrolled on the campus as of the first day of school should be ready to begin. Please see link for additional information about what is included in an Imagine Math Lesson. We will provide more guidance throughout the school year in how best to utilize this resource.
