Read Across America Day is Monday, March 2nd! We will spend the afternoon in mixed-age groups celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday with fabulous reading activities!
Our WEB Projects were so amazing that we have decided as a class to share them with a broader audience. We will visit some other classrooms in the school and share our posters!
Literacy:
This week we’ll explore the question “What words show the order of events in a story?” As we read the realistic fiction selection Luke Goes to Bat, we will find out about a boy who learns an important lesson with the help of his grandmother and the legendary baseball player Jackie Robinson. In an informational text, about Jackie Robinson, we will learn more about this special American Hero!

How To Writing
This week we will then choose a How To idea and begin to draft a How To story using features studied in all How To books. Next week, we will continue to plan, revise, edit and write a How To piece of writing. We will share our writing with the class.
