NTZB Parent Bulletin
March 3, 2023
Hello New Tech Families,
Spring is upon us, and we are closing in on the end of 3rd quarter on March 10, 2023. This is a great time to check the grades of your student to ensure they are remaining on-track and staying focused. Planning for the 2023-24 school year is in progress with incoming 8th grade acceptance letters going out, 9th through 11th grade students picking classes for next year, and seniors making post-secondary plans.
The continual support of our New Tech parents is always appreciated. Parent feedback and opinions are important and valued, so I ask that you please consider completing the 5 Essentials Parent Survey found on this bulletin. The survey will ask you to identify as a New Tech parent, therefore providing direct input for our school and planning. It is essential we reach at least 20% parent participation, and we are currently sitting at only 13%. I know we can reach our goal and thank you in advance of taking the survey!
We are currently three weeks out from spring break and as the weather will eventually be getting warmer, students may catch a little “spring fever!” We encourage you to continue supporting your students to attend school every day, complete assignments on time, and remain focused on their future. As we are now in the fourth quarter, be sure to monitor your email and the NT website for information and details regarding end of the year events. As always, I look forward to creating more great days for our students and staff!
In partnership,
Bonnie Felske
Please complete the annual 5Essentials Survey: Organizing Schools for Improvement. Your participation is vital and provides feedback to the Illinois State Board of Education regarding the following five indicators:
Effective Leaders -- Collaborative Teachers -- Involved Families
Supportive Environments -- Ambitious Instruction
This survey generates valuable data that districts can use to guide their ongoing efforts to improve schools and to offer students an excellent education. The survey is another improvement tool that allows districts and the state to share data as a means to inform parents and community members about the school’s learning environment. (From the ISBE website.)
Survey deadline is MARCH 31, 2023.

NEW TECH'S VICTOR ESPINOSA SIGNS LETTER OF INTENT WITH NDSCS!
Pictured: Victor Espinosa signs his letter of intent to play football for North Dakota State College of Science while a very proud mom and Coach MacArthur White look on.
Victor is a wonderful human being. I’ve watched him grow from a skinny little freshman, to a BEAST as a senior…. “HARD WORD & DEDICATION” describes him best. I’m so proud that he will have the opportunity to play college football and scratch off another one of his goals. Words can’t express how proud of him I am. Good luck on the next chapter, I’ll be watching!
