ETHICS TRAINING 2020
ALL CADDO EMPLOYEES:
According to Louisiana Statue R.S. 42:1170A, all public employees must complete
ONE HOUR of Ethics Training every year. This training is provided online. To receive the
required training, go to http://eap.ethics.la.gov/ethicstraining/login.aspx and
register as a new user. Once you register, login to complete the required three
sections.
Upon completion of the three sections, a certificate will be issued which
you can print or save a copy. Please print your certificate and give a copy to Mrs. Karen Miller.
LET'S ALL COMPLETE THE ETHICS TRAINING FOR 2020 BEFORE JANUARY 31, 2020.

GOOGLE Classroom - Are you PREPARED?
The goal for this week is to have everyone PREPARED to launch their GOOGLE Classrooms. This week you should simply dedicate time to receiving the training and ensuring you are ready to fully launch your GOOGLE Classroom so that students may join the week after Spring Break. ADMIN will need to join all GOOGLE Classrooms. If you already know how to utilize GOOGLE Classroom - AWESOME! If you DO NOT know how to utilize GOOGLE Classroom, you MUST either attend a face-to-face training or receive training on-demand (online).
The modules will walk you through the following:
Create a GOOGLE Classroom
Load content from the Caddo Home Learning Page
Monitor Progress
Create Assessments
Increase Student Engagement in Digital Settings

FYI - The district will begin loading the digital content (curriculum) on the Caddo Home Learning page for teachers by March 20.
NOTES: WEEK 2 - FOURTH NINE WEEKS
4th Nine Weeks - March 9 - May 15, 2020
*No teacher lessons or student work is expected next week from the district. *HOWEVER, (the following suggestion is from Mrs. Gibbs, not the district) you could possibly Dojo your parents and ask them to read to students each day, review multiplication facts, review addition facts, review subtraction facts, catch up on Zearn digital lessons (if they have devices at home), etc. (simple things - NO MAJOR CONTENT or WORK).
*PLEASE become familiar with the use of GOOGLE Classroom in preparation of creating your GOOGLE Classroom (this includes PE and ART - Library ?, Music ?)
* If you know how to use GOOGLE Classroom, you may create your GOOGLE Classroom. *Some folks already use this platform and have classes created currently.
*There will be Face-to face and On-Demand (online) trainings next week (March 16 - 20) to:
Login to Classlink, Create a Google Classroom, Access and Upload Content, Monitor Student Progress, Create Assessments, Use Tech Tools to promote student engagement, Utilize Google Hangout for Office Hours, Navigate Edgenuity
*Caddo Home Learning webpage will be created (by the district) for staff and families to access material and resources (forthcoming - more info to come)
*Teachers will access digital lesson material from the Caddo Home Learning webpage and load to their GOOGLE Classrooms (forthcoming- more info to come)
*Parents and students will need to join your GOOGLE Classroom to access content (forthcoming - more info to come)
*ADMIN WILL NEED TO JOIN ALL GOOGLE CLASSROOMS
*Teachers will monitor and support student learning through GOOGLE Classroom (forthcoming - more info to come)
*SPED teachers and INCLUSION will support learning by joining CORE teachers GOOGLE Classroom(s) (forthcoming - more info to come)
*SPED *UNIQUE - login info will be provided to students (forthcoming - more info to come)
*Teachers will create and set OFFICE HOURS (a daily - three hour time frame, ex. 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM or 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM) to be available for parents, students and ADMIN (forthcoming - more info to come)
*We (ADMIN and a TECH TEAM) will check out a device (iPad or Chromebook) to all families who are in need (forthcoming)
*Small TEAMS of teachers will be instructed to report to the school for various reasons (THIS IS ALLOWED). ADMIN will let you know if you are on a TEAM and need to report to the school (forthcoming). These are the only individuals allowed on campus beginning Monday, March 16.
