Children in Nigeria
By: Jacob Atwell
About 15 million children under the age of 14 work in Nigeria, under extremely dangerous conditions, For very little pay or no pay out all while missing out on a education. The number of children working in labour activities has increased since the 1970's, and wash feet, They sell stuff. Others work in agriculture or in the cotton indurstreys where they are sometimes exposed to toxic fumes and dangerous machinery.
Around 360,000 children in Nigeria have AIDS or HIV. Children in Nigeria that have parents HIV Positive have a high risk of becoming Hiv positive them self. Even though the major cause of poverty in Nigeria is HIV and AIDS, lack of parental care, neglect, and discrimination all so play a role in it.
