ABOUT ME

My name is Eman Towfik-Teems. This is my ninth year in teaching and my fourth year in first grade. I am so grateful that there is still so much I enjoy about being a teacher and I am lucky to be part of such a wonderful school like Heards Ferry! I can't wait to meet my new first grade students! I am looking forward to a year of learning, fun and adventures!

I was born in San Francisco but moved to Georgia when I was in the first grade. I went to college at Kennesaw State University and received my B.S. in Early Childhood Education in 2012. In previous years, I taught Pre-K and Kindergarten in Fulton County Schools. I live with my husband and my cat in our new home. This year we will be welcoming a baby girl in November!

This year will be a year of countless milestones for the students and I’m excited to watch them bloom as a friend, reader, writer, mathematician, scientist, thinker and so much more!
