10 Ways to Connect Schools Globally

Explore the Global Education Conference Network

The Global Education Conference Network

GlobalEdCon is a free, virtual conference taking place annually during International Education Week each November. This community lives on throughout the year and contains many resources for educators.

Join and Utilize Our Network

Our web site is an online community designed to promote global connections. From our perspective, professional relationships are the cornerstone of effective online collaborations and our space allows globally-minded educators and others to find each other.

If you join our network, develop a complete profile so that other members can learn more about your work, and you can search our member directory to find others from specific fields or countries.

Understand Our Mission

The Global Education Conference is a collaborative, world-wide community initiative involving students, educators, and organizations at all levels. It is designed to significantly increase opportunities for building education-related connections around the globe while supporting cultural awareness, recognition of diversity, and educational access for all.

The conference seeks to present ideas, examples, and projects related to connecting educators and classrooms with a strong emphasis on promoting global awareness, fostering global competency, and inspiring action towards solving real–world problems. Through this event, it is our hope that attendees will challenge themselves and others to become more active citizens of the world. Let us learn, question, create, and engage in meaningful, authentic opportunities within a global context!

Post Questions, Resources, and News

Looking for project partners? Need people to respond to a survey? Have questions about where to start with all of this? We welcome you to post to our discussion forum.

Offer news and resources, ask for help and inspiration, request project partners, and generally share anything that you think would be useful to our community. You can also search our discussion forum and browse various categories to see previously posted content.

Organizations are also highly encouraged to share their events, projects, and resources that may be of benefit to the global ed community at large. We serve as a clearing house to all the amazing work that is currently being conducted.

We also welcome you to post relevant videos, photos, and blogs. The blogging feature in our network is geared towards sharing personal reflections rather than news and resources.

Conference Co-Chair Lucy Gray will feature and share out relevant posts with the world \on social media and occasional newsletters to the GEC community. If you have resources to promote, make sure to post in our community!

List Your Events

Individuals and organizations that are hosting events are encouraged to post to our events page. If you have a virtual or face-to-face event coming up that you would like to publicize, please post it to our Events. Again, Lucy Gray will share relevant events over social media and in occasional community newsletters.
