Islam Religion

How did it originate?
The Islam religion originated with Muhammad. He was spoken to by the Angel Gabriel in 610 to be a prophet to the Arabic people promoting monotheism and a belief in Allah which is God in Arabic.
Where did it originate?
Islam originated in Saudi Arabia, which is located in the middle east.
Where has it spread?
Islam spread from Arabia to large parts of Asia and Africa, and southeastern Europe.
Basis Beliefs:
Muslims believe the God revealed holy books or scriptures to a number of God's messengers. Islam teaches that there is one God in the universe, muslims believe that Muhammad was a prophet, they believe that the object of life is to live in a way that is pleasing to Allah so that one may gain life in Paradise. Muslims consider their religion to be the one true religion, and invite people of all races, nationalities and religions to be part of their religion.
Leaders/Prophets:
In the Islamic religion they have many prophets. The most important ones are Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammed.
Past Events:
-In 1978-1979 there was an “Islamic Revolution”, which is when awareness of Islam and Muslim politics came suddenly to many parts of the world.
-They made many contributions to math such as Arabic numerals, algebra, and geometry.
-9/11 attack on the World Trade Centers
Because of the attack it stereotyped that all Muslims were bad but they aren’t which shows that we need to understand the religion and get to know their beliefs better.
