Financial Seminar for Rangers and Families: Tuesday, 25 July

Charles Hartford (Merrill Lynch Advisor) will be providing a Financial Seminar for Rangers and Families. He is the same individual who taught several classes last year. The seminar will be hosted on Tuesday, 25 July in the Ranger Dining Facility. Class time is 09:00 - 14:00. Class material will focus on basic financial planning, advice and techniques to help improve Rangers and their Families overall fiscal health. Fiscal health means financial health.

On-site childcare will be provided by CYSS free of charge to Families. Families must be registered with CYSS in order to use childcare. Please do not bring peanut products or raisins for your children if you plan to utilize the free childcare.

Families can plan to eat lunch at the Dining Facility at a cost of $5.55 or you are welcome to bring a lunch.

Registration for the class is required. Register now by visiting this link:

Contact your Key Caller of FRG Leaders if you have questions.

New Spouse Orientation: Wednesday, 26 July

Families will learn about unit history, how the unit functions, and available resources during the meeting. The meeting will be followed by a tour of facilities, and the opportunity to meet your FRG Leadership Team.

We extend a very special invitation to those who are newly arrived and/or newly married to attend the orientation with their spouse.

Childcare is available for Families who are registered with CYSS.

If you've been here a while and haven't been able to attend an orientation, please know you are very welcome to attend.

Send RSVP to Lisa Vos at no later than 21 July. Please send names, ages, and any special needs of children for childcare reservations.

Come join us on Wednesday, 26 July, 14:00 in the Ranger Dining Facility Classroom

Child Care Fee Subsidy for off base child care

Army Child Care Fee Assistance was created to provide authorized Reserve and Active Duty personnel assistance in locating, selecting, and offsetting the cost of civilian child care when on-base child care is not available or a viable option for the service member and their family. The programs available through Child Care Aware® of America provide subsidies for eligible military dependents enrolled in quality commercial child care programs throughout the United States.

Child Care Aware® of America authorizes subsidy amounts based on Total Family Income (TFI) for those eligible Army families, and supplies monthly payments directly to the prospective child care provider.

In order to participate in the Army Fee Assistance Program, non-school age children must be enrolled in a minimum of 16 hours of care per week. School age children must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours of care per week during the school year and a minimum of 16 hours of care per week during summer break.

  • Army fee assistance does not cover the drop in care for non-school age children or school age children on breaks (winter/spring break, snow days, holidays, etc.). Care must be consistent and must have a fixed schedule.
