Rountree Report
October 20, 2017
Whew! What a week!
- This has been a very exciting week! Thank you for all you have done to put our best foot forward and share our amazing story. I am looking forward to hearing from the team this afternoon. I hope you all spend a lot of time relaxing and rejuvenating this weekend before conferences next week.
- We will have your MAP reports to you this afternoon--you can pass those out at conferences.
- If there is a missing spot in a specialty on someone's grade card you may have to write it in. It will show up next quarter. If you need an additional copy of a grade card for the other parent let Erin know.
- Envelopes--We will not have envelopes this quarter--we have ordered them and will have them at semester. Please just plan to have a sign in sheet where parents sign that they came to conferences.
- SPECIALTY--Anyone that does not have a conference right after school will need to help with dismissal. The goal is to cover classroom teachers duty in order to allow them time to get ready for their first conferences. Please send me an email and let me know when you can help. 1 outside and 2 inside are what we will need--I will be outside each day.
- Please call the office or text me should a conference go the wrong way and you need additional support. I am also available if you would like to schedule me to attend or just want me to have an increased awareness.
- The goal is 100% face to face conferences. I will need your numbers of completed conferences by the end of the day next Friday.

During conferences please remember the super valuable skill of the sandwich technique. Start positive and end positive -- Keeping in mind that with each conference you are discussing someone's baby. I know that you know what to do! You will rock it!
Reading/Writing Observation Please get this on my calendar soon!
Please schedule a time for me to come in and observe reading and/or writing workshop in your classroom. Specialty you should also schedule an observation. I would like to have these completed in the month of October. I will be using the reading and/or writing IC as a guide during the observation.
Employee Recognition
Take some time to nominate a colleague this week. You are doing outstanding things! Let's recognize each other!
