Square 1 Art - Our Square 1 Art fundraiser is under way. You should have received a customized catalog from which you can order items with your child's artwork on them. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Orders can be placed online at or using the paper order form
  • Checks are made payable to Square 1 Art
  • Some items include free personalization so make sure you fill that in if applicable
  • School Tiles (item 54W) are the tiles that you see hanging on the walls throughout the school. These tiles will ship separately to the school and will be hung shortly afterward near the child's current classroom
  • Sample items will be on display during this week's PTO meeting (3/18) and at the family paint party
  • Orders are due March 27
  • Purchased items will arrive at school around mid April and will be sent home with the children (unless you have a large order)
  • Profits received will be used to fund special events during reading week (school receives a 33% profit on each item purchased)

Spotlight on Learning: RAVE Written Responses to Text

Many of our teachers are using the RAVE approach to answer questions about text. RAVE stands for:
Restate the question
Answer the question
Explain using evidence from the text

Following the RAVE approach helps students write clear and well developed responses to questions.

Report Card

Please schedule a conference with your child's teacher if you have any questions regarding your child's report card.
