The Riebli Record

A message from Mrs. Todd
We made it to November!
So, I love November! I love the leaves changing colors, SWEATERS, the crisp air, the darker nights, and so much more. I also love that we are doing our One School, One book event now. Crenshaw is an amazing book. Some staff members have read it already and loved it. They laughed, cried and felt hope. Now that the nights are darker and cooler, stay inside and read with your kids. Curl up and cuddle with our book!
Reminders:
- No School on November 11 to honor Veteran's day.
- Grades 4-6 will have pick up on November 12 instead. YES, 6th GRADE HAS THEIR CRENSHAW BOOK AND MATERIALS TO COME AND GET.
- Lunches will be passed out on Thursday, November 12.
- Report cards will be mailed on Friday, November 20.
- No school the week of November 23.
Go out, enjoy the crisp air and the fall colors. Wear your sweaters and celebrate that we are amazing for doing what we are doing!
XO,
Mrs. Todd

From the Library
Greetings Riebli Families:
I'm happy that so many children are requesting books from our school library. If you'd like a list of suggestions for your child, please feel free to send me an email. I know there's so much from which to choose that it can be a daunting task to make a choice.
This is just a quick reminder to please be careful with our school library books. I'd appreciate regular school rules be followed:
Please:
Keep the book in a safe and dry place
Don't eat or drink while reading
Use a bookmark, instead of turning down a page
Make time to read so you're able to return it in 2 weeks
If damage is caused that won't allow me to return the book to its place on the shelf, I will need to ask you for funds so it can be replaced.
A giant THANK YOU goes out to all of you that placed an order with our Online Fall Book Fair and/or shopped with Copperfield's. I thank you for your support in these fundraisers.
Happy reading,
Miss Denise
Riebli Librarian
Free and Reduced Meals applications
Free and Reduced Meals applications do more than determine lunch program eligibility, they help the district and schools receive additional funding for academic and social and emotional programs. We referred to this as “More Than a Meal”. If you have already filed this application this year, we thank you. As of November 4th the application form will now be called the "Alternative Income Form" because we no longer need to determine your meals eligibility as all children age 18 and under receive free meals for this school year. If you have already filed a Free and Reduced Meals application you do NOT need to do anything further, you have already helped us. If you have not filed one yet, please go to our website under the Parent Resources and Lunch Program tabs (or click here: https://mwusd.org/parent-resources/lunch-menu-school-lunch-program/), there you will find the Alternative Income Form along with the fliers for More Than a Meal. This Form will need to be printed, filled out, signed and returned to your school office.
Again, thank you for your continued support of our schools.
