Most squirrel monkeys grow up to 1 foot (30 centimeters) not including the tail.
Habitat
They live in tropical rain forest in South America. In the Andes of Colombia, northern Peru to the northeastern part of Brazil. They also live in all three levels of the rainforest.
Physical Description
There brain is bigger than a humans brain. They have large eyes that are closer together giving them binocular vision. Hind limbs are for gripping and the forelimbs are for foraging. The monkey is often a ash grey or red-brown or black with shades of gold or olive colors.
Diet
They enjoy eating fruits and berrys in the later afternoon. Also, they eat spiders and insects which are picked out of the ground vegetation. They also hunt in large troops.
