RUNNING RATTLERS
Running Rattlers is BACK baby! Sign up today! For our new parents... Running rattlers is an after-school running club. They meet once a week to run laps, encourage fitness and have some fun!
- FALL: (Sept. 21, 28) (Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26) (Nov. 2, 9, 16, 30)
- SPRING: (Feb. 15, 22) (Mar. 1, 8, 22, 29) (Apr. 5, 12, 19, 26)
Pick up is at 3;15. This is all volunteer run so let's make sure and respect everyone's time! All runners will be dismissed as Rear Walkers where they will be guided to the track near the front parking lot area along Quinlan to receive their lanyards to mark laps and begin running, walking, or skipping. Kindergarten and 1st Graders will be released to a volunteer at their door and walked to the track.
We will need parent volunteers each week. Please watch for the signup genius email coming once you sign up.
Once you complete this form, the office will know your child is involved in RR and you do NOT need to do anything more. If RR is canceled, they will revert back to their usual mode of transportation. Their teacher will also have a list of RR and know they are a rear walker that day.
DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS SEPTEMBER 16 so act now!
Click here to sign your kiddo up today! Contact us at riverridge.runningrattlers@gmail.com if you have any questions.
SPANISH VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
The Spanish Volunteer Program at River Ridge Elementary is looking for parent volunteers! We are looking for energetic and excited parent volunteers to teach basic, elementary-level Spanish at River Ridge Elementary from October through May (grades K-2).
- It is only 30 minutes each week.
- You do not need to be fluent.
This is a great opportunity to come in once a week and teach songs, play games, and lead other activities that will teach students basic-level Spanish. Classroom teachers will stay in the classroom with volunteers during this time.
Lesson details and teaching materials are provided at your school. If interested, please contact Melissa Hunter, Spanish Program Coordinator at
huntermelissaw@yahoo.com.
