Learn how to activate the healer within

What is Qigong?

Qigong is one of the components of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is designed to help us heal our bodies by activating the “qi” or life force energy.

Q: How does Qigong Heal Exactly?

A: Imagine getting the same blood circulation when you are jogging, or when you are relaxed and standing still. During a Qigong practice, our body pulses with energy. It's this energy that is able to clear blockages within our bodies and increase the flow of blood. This helps all our organs to heal, to detox, and to function optimally. Qigong is also beneficial to the brain and the chemistry of the brain, encouraging a relaxed state of mind (parasympathetic), vs. the "fight or flight" stressed state of mind (sympathetic).

Qigong consists of coordinating body and breath in a meditation of graceful movements, designed to activate the “healer within” each of us. It is also known as “Chinese Yoga”.
