The Pizitz Post
for Students, Parents & Families - April 17, 2023
A Servant-Hearted Community
We speak often about the kindness exemplified throughour community. We are grateful for the many community partners who reach out on a regular basis to find ways to support our school. Most recently, staff and members from Mountaintop Community Church reached out to see if there were ways they could help serve our school. They spent this past Saturday sprucing up the school for spring. We are thankful for their kindness and generosity.
Other community partners have served the school through hospitality, providing lunch for staff members, or giving resources to benefit clubs and teams. It is true that the best schools have strong parent engagement and reciprocal community partnerships. We are grateful to be strengthened by both of these at Pizitz!
Registration for 2023-2024
Registration for the 2023-24 school year is open for all returning students and must be completed by Monday, May 15, 2023. We are using the PowerSchool online registration system as we did last year. School fees are not due at this time. You will receive an email tomorrow with your child’s Snapcode and a link to access the registration portal. You will need the Snapcode in order to complete registration. Please monitor your inbox for an email from PowerSchool.
A video tutorial of the registration portal is available on our Registration Overview website at www.vhcs.us/registration.
ACAP
Although we experienced a glitch with testing on Tuesday, we are thankful that most of our students were able to wrap up their testing on Friday. For those students who were absent or unable to finish their tests this week, we will work with them to arrange an opporutnity to complete their make-up tests over the next week.
Students, be prepared to complete your ACAP on the day you return to school this week. Several different teachers will be utilized to administer the tests so we can complete them prior to the end of the testing window.
