Message from Washington Teachers:
Washington teachers are looking for parent resources to support and enhance our STEM closet and lessons in the classroom. If you have materials available to you that we could use or borrow for STEM activities, or you have STEM knowledge that you would like to present to students, please send an email to:
terri.bigelow@boiseschools.org and susan.evers@boiseschools.org.
In your email, please let us know what materials you would like to offer to the STEM closet and/or what grade level you feel comfortable sharing lessons and/or information. We will forward the information to the correct grade level based on their curriculum requirements. We know our Washington parents are a valuable resource in supporting our students' learning. Perhaps you also know a resource in our community that would be interested in supporting Washington Elementary School.
For example, 6th graders are needing old cell phones for classroom activities. Third graders will be doing simple machines in Science. Are there parents who would like to guide students in constructing simple machines using our k'nex and legos?
We look forward to connecting your resources with our STEM education.
Thank you~
Mrs. Bigelow
