Liquid Rainbows by Aidan
This week in school we made a liquid rainbow. We put different color liquids in a jar. The liquids stacked on top of each other and made a liquid rainbow. You have to pore the red very slowly or it will go through the yellow and the red will be on the bottom and not the top! The liquid stacked because the liquids were thick so they could not go through each other. I think the liquid rainbow is really cool!
Donors Choose By Caroline, Owen, and Alyce
This week in school our Donors Choose project was funded! Our project was flexible seating. Flexible seating is being able to choose different places to work that help you focus. The flexible seating choices are: wobbly ball chair, regular ball chair, wobbly stools, regular stools, rug, mats, bean bags, pillows, floor, desk, clipboard on the ground or floor, standing, ball chair at seat, wobbly ball chair at seat, wobbly stools at seat, stools at seat, and green reclining chair. I can’t wait to get the wobbly stools and mats! I LOVE FLEXIBLE SEATING!! ~Caroline
Wow it’s arrived! The box is here! It’s the DonorsChoose box. DonorsChoose is when teachers need things for their classes. For our class, one of the things we got was ball chairs. We got six of them. They are yoga ball with rubber feet. They help us learn by keeping us focused. We call this flexible seating. Flexible seating is where you want to sit and find a place you can work and be comfortable. Mrs. G had to write an essay on it. We raised $542.00 and a gift card so $642.00 in all. ~ Alyce

Donors Choose Project Update: By Mrs. Grimenstein
We can't thank you enough for all of your support with this project! In less than 24 hours our project was fully funded by friends, family members, and anonymous donors. The #bestschoolday foundation matched all of our donations, which made this goal so much easier to attain. To start, our class has ordered 6 ball chairs, 8 sit-upon mats, and 4 wobble stools. We have already gotten our 6 ball chairs, and the students were ecstatic!
Many of you have asked how you can still help now that our project has been funded.
I will be creating another project on Donorschoose.org to help get the organizational supplies we will need such as new cubbies, organizational bins for each student, and privacy shields (we just can't get enough of these). I will let you know when this project goes live, but in the meantime all donations will go toward a gift card for our class to be used for this project. To find out more about flexible seating, or to donate to our next project you can visit our donorschoose page below. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

This week in school I had a community meeting. In the community meeting there were 4 people in my class that got an award! 2 people named Caroline and Olivia got an award for finishing Typing Agent. 1 person named Brandon got an award for the word of the month principal. And one person named Emma got an award for getting the most money in 2nd grade for jump rope for heart. ~Liliana
This week in school we had a community meeting. First ,they gave awards and Brandon Stoner got an award for being principled. Then 3S presented about informational writing. It was very funny. Then Miss Wisniewsky announced the grand total for jump rope for heart. It was so much fun. Mr. Bissinger got a buzz cut. Emma cut his hair. Before Mr. Bissinger got his buzz cut, he threw his tie, and I caught it. Have you ever been to a community meeting? . ~ Mark
