MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Last week we had our wonderful spring concert at our beautiful Saber Center for the Performing Arts. Both nights were a success. A huge shout out to Mrs. Rynders & Ms. Eckes for all their hard work to get everyone prepared for the concerts. Students worked hard all year and it sure showed during their performances.
It warms my heart to see the joy that the live concert performances provided. I am looking forward to the years to come and continuing to provide the live performances of our very talented students!

STUDENT ENGAGEMENT SURVEY
During the week of 5/22/23 - 5/26/23 your student will be participating in a Student Engagement Survey. This survey was written by the district and takes less than 10 minutes to complete. It asks students to respond to questions in areas related to environment, learning, and relationships. Information from this survey is used by teachers and administrators to identify areas of improvement related to the student experience. If you have questions about the survey, please contact Jeannine Bombien
5th GRADE FUTURE WILDCAT FIELD DAYS
PLANNING FOR 5th GRADE FIELD DAYS HEALTH NEEDS
Please remember that the 5th grade students will be outside all day Thursday and Friday and will be very active. If your child has seasonal allergies or allergies that are triggered by things in the environment, please consider giving them any medications that they may take to keep them comfortable during outdoor play prior to sending them to school. For children with life threatening or severe allergies, also be sure that they have access to any essential medications, like epinephrine and/or benadryl.
Similarly, if your child has asthma that is triggered by exercise, warm air, pollen, etc., please ensure that they have access to their inhaler or any other medications that they might need. If your child needs any medications for field days that they do not currently have or receive at school, please complete a “Request to Administer Medication” form in partnership with their health care provider and bring both the completed form and the medication to the school office.
If you would like your child to be wearing any sunscreen or insect repellent, please apply those ointments before your child leaves home in the morning. Also, as the students will be very active, it will be a good idea to ensure that your child eats a healthy and substantial breakfast.
Thank you so much for your attention to keeping our 5th graders healthy for their fun-filled days!
