It was said in the 1950's that a baby was born every 7 seconds, it was the ideal american dream. The men would go off to work during the day while their wife would stayed at home and take care of their kids. The 1950's was called the "baby boom"

In the 1960's females started to join into the work force. most of them were working in production factory's but some women became much more. Women we're also fighting for their rights in the 1960's

in the 1970's there was a huge gain in the railroad industry. boosting jobs through the roof to expand the railroad tracks through out the united states.

scientist found the vaccine for polio, and also we started producing hydrogen bombs for defense against other nations. and the soviet vs U.S. space race began.

John F. Kennedy became president in 1961. In 1962 john Glenn became the first man to orbit the earth and he did so three times. but later Neil Armstrong landed on the moon.

the 1970's held a great time for space discoveries launching Apollo 14,15,16,17. the first laser printer came out.
