School Attendance

February 2021, as the governing body of VCS, Vance County School Board voted for the return of daily in-school attendance for all face-to-face and online high school instruction.

All remote learning ceased and the school district returned to on-campus instruction for all face-to-face and online high school instruction. In addition to the successful completion of all NCDPI and VCS high school graduation requirements, students are required to meet the daily attendance requirements as stated in VCS Board Policy 4400.

Only grade 11, 12, and 13 students with authorized documentation on file are permitted to leave campus once all high school and college courses are completed. Grade 9 and 10 students are required to remain on campus the entire day. Students are assigned to a study space during online college courses or when face-to-face college courses are not in session.

Parents, we appreciate your support in ensuring students are present and on time to school and classes, daily.
