Big Kahuna Fundraiser
Benchmark Testing is Tuesday February 25 and Wednesday February 26.
- Students will be testing for four hours
- Students will be testing in the groups/rooms they would be testing for STAAR.
- Our schedule will be different those two days.
- Students will eat in the classroom after they take their test.
- No visitors for lunch on these days.

State of the District
Please join us for a district update from Superintendent Brenda Sanford.
The ROISD community – students, staff, parents, business owners, etc. – are invited to attend one of the annual spring State of the District events to learn about district progress, future plans and more! Light refreshments will be available.
State of the District Community Events:
- Tuesday, March 31 at 6:00 PM at Wooden Elementary located at 200 Louise Ritter Blvd. in Red Oak
OR
- Thursday, April 2 at 6:00 PM at Schupmann Elementary located at 401 E. Ovilla Rd. in Glenn Heights.
Renaissance Rewards
What is Renaissance?
The Renaissance Rewards Program promotes good grades, attendance and behavior. Students earn privilege and rewards based on the previous weeks achievements. There are two levels that students can earn:
- Gold
- Silver
Renaissance: Gold Level
· 90-100 Grade average – No failing grades
· No more than one absence or three tardies
· No disciplinary action (includes dress code)
REWARDS: may include:
- Leave early from lunch
- Fast pass to the front of lunch line
- Sit where you want with Friends in the mornings or at lunch.
- Free admission to ROMS Athletic Events
- Admission to any Renaissance Event (end of semester party*)
- 1 free Renaissance treat from the student store.
- Mystery Prizes
* Any DISCIPLINE action within 5th and 6th weeks will make a student ineligible for Renaissance Rewards for the rest of the semester. Even if student already has Renaissance for one six weeks in the semester, they will be disqualified for the Renaissance party.
Renaissance: Silver Level
- 80 - 89 Grade average - No failing grades

Dress Code - Outerwear
- Outer coats/jackets may be any color but must be removed upon entering the building.
- Sweaters, vests, zip and pullover hoodies and sweatshirts are permitted in standardized dress policy colors only. They may be worn in the building but may not extend below the bottom of the back pocket.
- Red Oak logos and Red Oak artwork are allowed on zip-up and pullover hoodies.
- Labels are permitted on coats, jackets, sweaters, and sweatshirts but must be no larger than 1½ inches by 1½ inches.
- Jackets must have a closing mechanism (full-length zipper, buttons or snaps).
