The Contitution
The Contitution was written in May 1787 in Philadelphia. There was not a chief executive and court system. James Madison big worry was people having tyranny. There is one person having all the power. Tyranny is most often defined as harsh, absolute power in the hands of one individual like a king or a dictator. The Central Government can do Regulate trade, Conduct foreign relations, Provide an army and a navy, Declare war, Print and coin money, Set up post offices, and Make immigration laws. The State Government can do Set up local governments, Hold elections, Establish schools, Pass marriage and divorce laws, and Regulate in state businesses. What they both have can do Tax, Borrow money, Set up courts, Make laws, Enforce laws.( doc a ) he Executive Branch is Executive and cabinet departments. The Legislative Branch is the house representatives and senate. The Judicial Branch is supreme court , Court of appeal, and District court ( doc c ). The Preamble is We The People of United States, In order to form a more perfect union, Establish justice, Ensure domestic tranquility, Provide for the common defense, Promote the general welfare, and secure the blessing of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, Do ordain and establish this constitution for the United States of America. This is a little more about the legislative branch. So the number of representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty thousand, but each state shall have at least one representatives and until the states of New Hampshire shall be entitled to three, Massachusetts 8, Rhode Island 1, Connecticut 5, New jersey 4, Pennsylvania 8, Delaware 1, Maryland 6, Virginia 10, North Carolina 5, South Carolina 5, and Georgia 3. The senate of the United States shall be composed of two senators from each state, chosen by the legislatures thereof for 6 years and each senator shall have 1 vote
