First View -Bus App
Lower Moreland Township School District has partnered with FirstView which is an app for parents that allows for direct access to the status of your child’s bus. FirstView GPS tracks the bus on a map and allows you to set up a customizable geo-fence around your pick-up/drop-off location, so you can be alerted when the bus is close. You can customize your notifications on the app. This is a free app for parents that can be downloaded from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
Here are the instructions for getting started with the app: FirstView Bus App. The instruction sheet has the district code and a list of the bus routes that are needed to register. Using this app is optional. The district will continue to send Connect Ed notifications about the status of bus changes or significant delays. Please also see the document below for a quick start guide.
Lion's Roar- School Newspaper
Lower Moreland Community,
We are thrilled to be hosting our 15th Mini-THON this year on November 19th! To date, we have raised over $1.3 million to fight pediatric cancer with Four Diamonds and cannot wait to see what we accomplish this year.
In order to provide a safe environment for our participants, this year’s event will be closed to the community, with only participants and chaperones permitted to attend. We wish we could welcome everyone back, including our alumni, but safety is our number one priority. Masks will be required, and we call upon everyone attending to be vigilant in proper social distancing and mask wearing.
If you would like to join us virtually, please tune into the livestream by using the link found on www.lmhsminithon.com.
We thank you for continuous support, especially this year.
FTK,

LMHS Faculty, Staff & Student Advocates Support Purple Thursday
Thank you everyone for your support for the victims and survivors at Nicole's Place.
With your amazing support, Mrs. Quinn Maxwell was able to present a check to Sarah Laporta, Manager of Nicole's Place of the Laurel House last week for $650.00.
Sometimes you don't know where your money goes.
Your contributions help with the following:
Provide emergency shelter to adults and children
Have support personnel able to respond to hotline calls
Provide crisis intervention to victims
Provide legal representation or consultation to victims
Provide prevention education to students and through presentations
Provide trainings to professionals in law enforcement, medical, mental health and more
Provide gift cards for groceries and necessities to individuals and families.
So grateful for your help in making this continue to happen.
LMHS Choir
LMHS Choir is back! Last Friday, 11/5, the high school's Honor Choir performed their first fully in-person performance since the start of the pandemic at Pine Road's "Night to Honor Veterans" event in the auditorium. Miss Dehner and the Honor Choir had been anticipating an all in-person event for almost 2 years, and could not be more proud of the group for their hard work up to the night and the night of.
In other choir news, be sure to tune into the school board meeting on November 16, where the LMHS Treble Choir will be singing! The meeting starts at 7 pm and can be viewed on the district's Youtube channel as it is streamed. The choir will be performing Miss Dehner's original song, "Thrive in my Headband," which was arranged and conducted last year by 2021 graduate Jaymie Roddy. At the meeting, the Treble Choir will have officially been running for 3 years, meaning that the district officially recognizes Treble Choir as an LM extracurricular. The choir is excited about this next step and can't wait for the district to hear them!
Finally, save the date for December 16, which is the Choir's Winter Concert. Come hear the LMHS Concert Choir, along with the extracurricular Honor, Treble, and Bass Choirs. The concert is in the high school's auditorium at 7 pm. Hope to see you there!

General News and Announcements
Important Reminders of Daily Health and Safety
- Maintain safe distancing at all times. Students should not congregate at any time.
- Masks need to be worn at all times and cover from the bridge of the nose to under the chin. The only exceptions are while eating or while outside at the direction of a teacher.
- Bus riders need to wear a mask at all times.
- Use hand sanitizer at the beginning and end of each class, and throughout the day follow hand-washing guidelines as needed.
- Follow the directional arrows throughout the building
Attendance Protocol
All of your attendance reporting needs will be handled by one electronic form that will replace the Blue Card online form and the Yellow Card online form (used at Pine Road). This will also replace the need for a phone call to the attendance line.
Use this form to report your child’s absence. Submitting this form will both report the absence and document it. No follow up Blue card is needed.
Submit this form to sign your child into school late.
Submit this form to sign your child out for an appointment (early dismissal). This form allows you to enter a return to school time if your child will be returning to school.
Please Note:
If you are taking an extended vacation, you will still need to complete the Request for Excusal from Regular School Attendance, familiar to most families as a vacation request form. The form is found on the Virtual Backpack under Forms.
Doctors’ notes still need to be submitted to the school attendance secretary or sent into school.
