Important 4 Minute Video About Students Returning In The Hybrid Model
HYBRID MODEL - Beginning February 22nd
We will begin the hybrid model on February 22nd for our SPECIAL POPULATIONS. The schedule is below for this group who should expect a call from us at the school. If our covid rates continue to go down, we hope to transition all of our students to the hybrid model on March 8th.
Students in this group will go to school two days a week:
Student last name A - K: Monday/Tuesday
Student last name L - Z: Thursday/Friday
If you have not done so already, please take the district secondary survey so we know how to plan for the hybrid model. ALL FAMILIES NEED TO COMPLETE THE SURVEY.
Academic Support Hybrid Model:
Students will attend in-person support classes (optional) from 7:40 - 9:25 a.m. and will participate in Google Meets from 11:45 a.m. - 2:10 p.m. Direct instruction will continue to take place during Google Meets and academic support will be provided during the in person student time.
Students who choose to attend in person will attend periods 1 and 2 in week one, periods 3 and 4 in week two, and periods 5 and 6 in week three. The schedule will then repeat.
All students will continue attending virtual classes each week just as they have been all year. Times for these meetings have been modified slightly as reflected in the schedule below.

SNOW DAY/INCLEMENT WEATHER UPDATE
If we experience inclement weather on a school day, learning will not stop for Stanwood High School. Every Thursday morning at 7:10 a.m., teachers drop work in their Google Classrooms for the students. The expectation is that students will continue to work on assignments that were already delivered.
**The teachers will hold Google Meets if power and connectivity permits. We will still be able to count the day as a school day as long as students have assignments available.
