Teach, LOVE, Inspire
Cool Cats Update
Week of October 2
Monday Motivation
Extending kindness to everyone you meet this week is an act you will
never regret. Let’s use our actions and words to build each other up.
Our words have power. They have the power to stick to the receiver
forever. Dale Carnegie says, “The power to increase the sum total of the
world’s happiness is by giving a few words of sincere appreciation to
someone who is lonely or discouraged. Perhaps you will forget tomorrow
the kinds words you say today, but the recipient may cherish them over a
lifetime.” There are no regrets when you uplift and inspire another
person.
STRIVE - Adding your New Goals
Please make sure you have entered your two goals. You will put them in by using the "EVALUATION" tab and then completing the form. Please do not use the form on the "goal" tab.
Team Spirit
Team Spirit
30 years ago, (yikes), I was a freshman at Auburn University. It's been about 20 years since I've been back to the campus. This weekend, I was fortunate enough to go to the Auburn vs. Mississippi State game. My mind stepped back in time! My family and I spent the weekend with friends from Flower Mound whose daughter is a junior. I felt like a kid again! There were thousands and thousands of people in orange and blue. Tiger cheers were being yelled everywhere we walked. I was tailgating in clear view of my freshman dorm windows! Our eagle flew directly over our heads when the game started. This signifies the battle cry; that the game is about to begin. I sang our school song so many times and cheered the same cheers and chants from so many years ago. I witnessed the rolling of Toomer's Corner. When Auburn has a win, all the fans go to the main intersection and we use toilet paper to roll all the trees. It is magical! So much school spirit...so much school pride. Many of you know exactly what I am talking about when it comes to that college spirit.
Being a Sunset Valley Bobcat is just as exciting! Do you feel it? Do you see that same school pride in the eyes of your students and families? Being a Bobcat with you is exhilarating. Not feeling it right now? Find it! Find your SCHOOL PRIDE, your SPIRIT, and let it show!!! You are a member of the Sunset Valley staff! Sunset Valley is THE PLACE TO BE! Join me this week and wear your school pride! School colors, school shirts and jeans ALL week!!! Are you READY??
