What is it?
"You are in the last 2 minutes of a basketball game. You are 4 points behind and have possession of the ball. What are you going to do?"
It would be easy for the teacher to discuss this and then highlight what they should do. However it is important for the students to apply their knowledge to the situation, find the weaknesses and develop them. This is not simply a lesson to play through the scenario but a chance for students to set their own scheme of work looking at their groups strengths and weaknesses.
