March 20th, 2015

This quote was written on the whiteboard at the Boot Camp class I go to. As I sweated and grunted my way through the work out, my eyes kept coming back to it. Am I frustrated that I've been going faithfully to class and I still need to take a break when doing pushups? Or that my pre-baby skinny jeans are still a little too skinny to squeeze into? Heck yeah I am! But - if I focused solely on results, I'd be too discouraged and would give up. Instead, I'm working on focusing just on the little changes I see - that I can do a set of sprints without wanting to lie down on the floor, that I can use a heavier kettlebell when doing swings. Those are the things that make me feel good about myself and urge me to keep going. And because of that - results will follow. (Those skinny jeans will be mine again...someday).

And so it is with our business. If our sole focus is our results, it can be a little bit discouraging. Results are sometimes hard to come by! You may have reached out to ten people to book a show and haven't heard back, or maybe the potential stylist you had your eye on has told you no. But what if you instead focused on changing your approach? What's that quote - 'insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the same result'? Something like that. :) But if what you are doing is not working for you, it's time to switch it up and try something new. Dig deep into that positive mindset you've developed, repeat your mantra and be a little bolder.

Focus on the change and results will follow. I promise.

And talk about focusing on change - these incredible ladies took our Customer Care Call challenge and successfully called FIFTY customers last week! I am so proud and no doubt your customers are delighted by your excellent customer service!

And what should you be focusing on now? BOOKING ONE MORE FOR MARCH!

(Did you just think - 'there is no way I can book one more for March - there are only ten days left'? If so, get your mindset straight before reading on because YOU CAN!)

We have a team challenge to book 20 NEW trunk shows before the end of the month. Right now we have 4 down and 16 to go, but I know MANY of you have been working on it so I believe we can do it!

What's in it for you (besides commission and adding new people to your pipeline of course)?

WHEN we accomplish this goal, I'll be raffling off some new Spring Bling that you can add to your arm party! Everyone who books at least one new show will be entered to win!

How do you do it? By reaching out! Here are some great words to say:

From Senior Stylist Melissa Kaufman:

Hey, XXXX you know who deserves some free Stella & Dot? You Do! Let's do an easy, low key girls night and earn you a ton for free! Super easy...Couple bottles of wine and your girlfriends. I bring the bling, you earn the rewards! I have the 26th open and I'd love to save the date for you! What do you think?

From Star Stylist Jess Silberzahn:

Hey!!!!! Let's round the girls up next week for a personalized styling session! With the warm weather coming I thought it would be fun for everyone to dig out their favorite outfit, bring it on a hanger and we all style each other. What do you think?

My Hot Tip:

Reach out to anyone you know that has a birthday in March! (You can find what FB friends have one by looking in your events). Here's what I've been saying:

Hey lady! Happy Belated Birthday! Looks like you had so much fun on your trip - I'm jealous you got all of that sunshine. smile emoticon I was just thinking - it would be so much fun to do a 'Fabulous & Forty Stella & Dot Fashion Bash' for you and your friends as a way to celebrate! I would love to bring some cupcakes, champagne and my jewels/bags/scarves to your place one night - you just invite some friends over! They shop and then you'll get all the rewards for free - so it's a great way for them to help treat you for your birthday AND grab some Spring Bling for themselves! I just had Friday, March 27th open up - any chance you can make that work?

So what do you think? Can we do it? YES WE CAN! Be sure to post your new shows booked under the pinned post at the top of our Facebook page!

And a GOLD STAR goes to...

...Kay Billian, Melissa Kaufman, Cindy Studlack, Robin Albert, Jena Muller, Julia DiFrancisco, Denise Talley, Bonnie Rosenberger & Jessica Robinson who not only joined our FB chat last night on Booking in Tight & Overcoming Objections, but also took action while they were on it! These ladies reached out to FB friends and offered a show in the next ten days. Not always easy or comfortable, but this is how you grow. Way to go, gals!!!

Top in sales for the week:
