Embracing Your Sacred Body
A Healing Workshop For Women
Women's Bodies Are Sacred...
... And in Sanskrit, the word for our female body parts is “Yoni”, which literally means “sacred space.”
ASK YOURSELF...
- Do you honor your body, your womb, your genitalia as sacred? Or do you deny, degrade, ignore, or criticize your body and genitalia with harsh words and thoughts?
- Do you have loss, pain, sadness via medical and/or sexual or other trauma or loss attached to your womb that keeps you from fully enjoying and embracing your sensual and sexual self?
- Do you feel insecure about your sexuality and being a sensual woman because of what society, the media, and others's expectations?
If you answered yes to any of these questions then this workshop is FOR YOU!
Schedule of The Day's Activities....
Morning: "Releasing the Old"
- Experiential exercises will assist women in exploring all the messages they've received about their bodies, being female, and their sexuality from family, the media, authority figures, relationships, school, work, porn, society, culture, religion
- Gentle movements and process will support women in beginning to let go of the old messages
- Meditation will assist women in envisioning their bodies and divine yonis as they want void of other's expectations or demands
Afternoon: Reclaiming Our Bodies, Our Yonis, Ourselves
- Posture and pelvic floor awareness; pelvic rocking and sensual attunement
- Womb awareness exercises to attune women to their wombs' messages
- Writing, process, and movement to celebrate the rebirth and reclamation of each of our beautiful, divine feminine selves!
NOTE: For women who have infertility issues, have had hysterectomies, miscarriages, abortions, body trauma (medical, sexual, physical, emotional, otherwise), this workshop can be a gentle, beautiful healing added supplement to the work you are doing in individual therapy.
