REGISTRATION FOR 22-23 IS NOW OPEN FOR NEW FAMILIES!
Our registration is now open for next school year for new families to the district and next year’s 4K. You can find all the necessary details on our website here. Please note that students already enrolled in our schools do not have to have a new registration completed. You may utilize the “Create Account” and “Forgot Password” buttons on the registration page to complete your registration or gain access if you have created an account in the past. Please help us share that registration is open with any new families to the area or those with younger children that would be entering 4K or 5K!
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
This week Wednesday is pajama day!
We continue to adjust our dismissal procedure to make it as quick and efficient as possible. In order to keep all 330 students safe, I am asking for your cooperation at dismissal. Please follow these guidelines for parent pick up:
Picking up by car? Please use the curbside pick up directions. Please, do not park on the street or drive into the north parking lot to pick up your children.
Don’t want to wait in line? Park in the lot, walk to the flagpole to meet your child.
For students who ride the bus, the bus company has asked us to please remind your child about the expected behaviors:
All passengers must properly wear a mask at all times
Listen to the Bus Driver
Sit in your assigned seat
Keep hands, feet and other objects to yourself
Use appropriate language and a voice level “2” - only seat mates should hear you
No food or drink
Remain seated
No chromebook or cellphone usage
Thank you for your help!
This is our last full week of learning before a three day week leading into our Winter Break. Thursday, December 23 is our first day of break and students return to school on Monday, January 3, 2022.
Have a good week!
Sincerely,
Mary Shannon
Ben Franklin Principal

This week's lost & found picture. We even have 1 shoe? If possible, please label your student items with their first and last name so that we can get the item back to the student.
If any of these items belong to your student, please email janel.oberheu@franklin.k12.wi.us with a description, she will look for it so that it can be returned.
ATTENDANCE REMINDER
MASK REMINDERS
As we continue to require masks for students, please remember the following:
It’s a good idea to wash your child’s mask frequently, ideally daily if possible.
Please ensure that your child has a few masks to rotate throughout the average school week
Please send an extra mask in your child’s backpack in the event they need another mask
When choosing masks for your child, please look for masks that have 2 or more layers of breathable fabric, cover their nose and mouth, fit snugly across the sides of their face, and don’t have gaps.
If you need help with getting additional masks, please contact the school’s main office.

You will notice as you start typing the name of your school, the choices for schools narrows so you can select your school. By selecting your school, this report goes to the principal or local law enforcement when needed. The video linked below gives a good overview of how “Speak Up Speak Out Wisconsin” works and is good to review with your family.
Going forward, we will have a graphic for Speak Up Speak Out Wisconsin at the bottom of each newsletter that you can click on for quick access to report incidents if needed. You can also add the Speak Up Speak Out App on your phone for quick reporting by utilizing these links: iOS | Android
