Great news! We expect to be in our new addition next week! Mr. Petoskey has already had kids in the gym this week, and Ms. Robinson and Mrs. LaPratt are working on getting their classrooms moved in and ready for kids. We appreciate all of the extra time and effort that it is taking staff to make this extra move, and it will be worth it! Our new spaces are beautiful learning environments for our students. Check out the picture below of Mrs. Aman's class as the first ones in the new gym using the interactive Lu projector!
We are excited to have our Popcorn Fridays back! The first one was today, and everyone loved the smell of popcorn throughout the building. Thank you to all of our volunteers for making it happen.
Mrs. Sharpe's Kindergarten class chose to have an "Animal Day" for the whole school as a part of the rewards from the Fun Run. On Thursday, students may dress as an their favorite animal. No masks or face paint, please.
Halloween plans are coming together! We are planning to have a parade out around the track, weather permitting. We are inviting our families to attend the parade outside. We are still finalizing some of the details, but here are a few:
- Parade start time, roughly 2:45pm
- No parking on the basketball court area, for either golf carts or vehicles
- No golf carts stopped on the track, as we will be walking in that area
- If you plan on signing out your child(ren) after the parade, please let your child's teacher(s) know ahead of time. We will have students bring their belongings outside so that they don't need to re-enter the building
- Grade levels will have specific areas on the playground where they will be located after the parade for student sign-out
- Playground equipment will be closed during the parade
- Family viewing area for the parade will be on the INSIDE of the track so that we have a clear path back into the school
- No pets allowed
More information with a map of the grounds will be sent out next week.
Take care and enjoy your week!
