A quick note from Mrs. Fadeji
One thing that does look pretty certain for the 2019-20 school year is that I will be on maternity leave mid September - early January as the Fadeji Fam adds a baby girl to the mix. In awesome news, I am so very pleased to share that Maureen Rudder will once again serve as interim principal in my absence. Maureen is an outstanding educator, wonderful human being and she absolutely loves Penngrove. She is the perfect addition to our team. In the 2017-18 school year, Maureen and I shared the principal role along with the support of well established leaders amongst Team Penn.
In case you haven't met Mrs. Rudder, here are a few fun facts about her:
- She loves taking her two labradors to the beach with her husband Rick.
- She spends LOTS of time with her five grandkids which include 2 one year olds, 2 four year olds, and a seven year old!
- Mrs. Rudder has worked on 5 of 7 Petaluma City Schools elementary campuses.
- Although Mrs. Rudder is originally from San Francisco, she has lived and served the Petaluma community for 39 years.
- In Mrs. Rudder's early years, she even babysat some of our current Penngrove PARENTS! (and she's still super young and hip!)
Alright, Penngrove community, saddle up! We're in for a wild last 5 1/2 weeks of the school year!
P.S. Check out these big 6th graders who have me feeling a little sentimental this spring. Most of us started at Penngrove together in 2012 when they were 5 and I was 29! BABIES! All of us! What an honor to watch them grow all these years. #mybabies #proudprincipal #bestjobever #makinmamaproud

Have you signed and returned the new PTA Liability Waiver?
The liability waiver you sign on Aeries will not cover upcoming PTA events. If you do not return a waiver for your child they will not be able to participate in PTA events.
You may not have seen this in the past. Our events have reached a new level of fun, including things like jumpies and obstacle courses. This waiver will allow your child to participate in these fun activities. We would never add anything that you haven’t already seen at birthday parties and local fun centers.
If you have specific concerns, please contact us: firstname.lastname@example.org.
