FIRST BLOCK BEGINS AT 7:30AM - Parents - Please help - we have too many students signing in late each morning! They should be dropped off BEFORE 7:30a.m.

Students MUST be in 1st block by 7:30a.m. every morning. There will be consequences for those who are tardy! Being at school on time is important! Students who arrive after 7:30 a.m. must be brought to the front of the school and brought to the office and signed in. The doors leading to the cafeteria are locked at 7:30 a.m. every day! Thank you for your cooperation!

Summer School Information- Please read if you are attending summer school!

Jenkins Summer Embrace Program

June 1 – June 29

Arrival 7:00 – 7:30

Dismissal 1:30

Georgia Milestones End of Course Summer and Spring Retest Administration

  • American Literature and Composition June 23-24, 2022
  • Biology/Algebra I June 27, 2022
  • U.S. History June 28, 2022
  • Makeups June 29, 2022

Uniforms are mandatory. No exceptions

Transportation is NOT provided for High School Students.

Arrival/Dismissal - Jenkins students will arrive and be dismissed on the small bus ramp at the back of the school on the southwest side. Parents should turn off DeRenne Avenue onto Reuben Clark Dr. (Memorial Hospital access road) by the Pool. Then come to the second entrance on the right that leads to the back of the school. Windsor Forrest High School is also holding their Summer School at Jenkins. Windsor Forrest’s parents will drop off at the front of the school. Please make sure that you drop your student off at the back of the school with the Jenkins students.

Tardy Policy – Doors will closed at 7:30 AM. Students will not be allowed in after 7:30 AM. Students may be dropped off as early as 7 AM.

All students check in each day with Dr. Connors. Uniforms and Tardy policy will be enforced during the check in process.

Breakfast and Lunch will be provided.

Chromebooks will be redistributed June 1 to all students attending Summer School. Student’s must bring their Chromebooks each day.

Please call the school and ask for Dr. Connors (Assistant Principal/Coordinator) if you have any questions.

Senior Awards Night - Congratulations to our Class of 2022! Thank you to Ms. Hall and our Counseling Team for planning such a wonderful evening!

Returning Chromebooks

Students will begin returning Chromebooks in May. Seniors will return their chromebooks, including the powercord, and any other items by May 6th. Underclassmen devices are due by May 16th, so we will begin to collect them beginning May 12th. Students will not be allowed to keep their Chromebook past the due date and will not be able to borrow computers during or after this window. Students must return their devices even if they plan to attend summer school. To be cleared, students must return the exact devices checked out to them, and chargers must be returned with Chromebooks. Interested in hosting a Foreign Exchange Student?

In 4 weeks current Greenheart Exchange/Jenkins student Paul will be returning to his home country and we are actively seeking hosts for the 2022-23 school year. The best time to apply is now! You’ll get to know your student well in advance, meet their parents online, and plan for their arrival in late July. The 5 available spaces fill quickly so please don’t wait. We also accept referrals!

Parents and guardians are to bring ALL medication to the school. Students may never bring medication of any kind, including over-the-counter products, to school. (With a current doctor's order on file, Nurse Smart may permit students to carry their Epi-pen or inhaler after checked in by the parent.)

Whitney and Micheala from Gulfstream and the Society of Women Engineer's led a Bernoulli's principle demonstration discussing how this gas law explains how airplanes stay in flight. Students were also able to ask questions pertaining to engineering careers.

  • Currently employed (if applying for 2nd Semester of current school year. Job cannot be seasonal**)
  • Complete an application-Review all information requested. (located on the school's website)
  • Submit a Resume along with the application
  • Three positive teacher recommendations (see application)
  • Secure employment by July (for Fall of upcoming School Year)
  • Good Discipline and Attendance
  • Be able to complete a pathway by graduation
  • Reliable transportation
