Northern Kentucky Baseball
December Newsletter
Chilly? Now Is the Time to Think About Baseball!
It may be cold outside, but spring baseball and softball is just around the corner. The Board of Directors of Northern Kentucky Baseball have already been working hard to coordinate the Spring 2016 season. Registration opened December 14th and NKB hosted the first ever NKB Forum on December 16th. We are in the middle of organizing uniform order processes and we took delivery of our largest equipment order to date. We are developing systems for our new Majors / Minors divisions and our VP of Fields and Scheduling has his eyes on every available field in Northern Kentucky. We are anxious to PLAY BALL!
Even NKB Gets Packages In December!
5 volunteers from NKB met at a warehouse in Hebron Saturday to pick up our largest equipment order ever.
Registration is OPEN
All players and coaches are invited to register at the link below for the Spring 2016 season. All team and coach requests need to be completed by February 1st. If you are registering for an existing team, including teams new to NKB, please register as "Returning To A Previous Team". Coaches, NOW is the time to communicate with your families whether your team will be League-Provided or Team-Provided for equipment and uniforms! As a reminder, all coaches and team administrators need to register on the NKB website and complete the mandatory background check.
Recent Events!
Girls Fastpitch Softball Clinic
NKB and HITS Indoor Baseball hosted The Packaged Deal girls fastpitch softball clinic in early December. Players traveled from as far away as West Virginia to participate!
NKB Equipment Return Event
NKB initiated a brand new electronic inventory system by hosting a very successful equipment return event. Much thanks to the many, many coaches who made this possible!
NKB Forum
Over 30 men and women attended the NKB Forum on December 16th. This open question and answer session detailed the Board of Directors' plans to continue the league's success in the future.
2016 Reds Tickets Update
The Reds Kid Glove Game voucher sales are NKB's only annual fundraiser. Historically, we have sold over 2,200 vouchers to one Reds game per season and have called it the "NKB Night at the Reds". Due to demand, this year we will have vouchers to two separate games. Details are still being negotiated, but an opportunity to purchase these Reds vouchers will be added to the registration process very shortly. If you have already registered, you will be contacted with a special link to purchase the vouchers separately. Look for information and confirmed dates to come out soon!
Happy Holidays!
The Board of Directors of Northern Kentucky Baseball would like to wish all NKB families a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May your holiday season be filled with peace and joy!
