Celebrate and Cherish this time! Sending you and your family many blessings!
Sending you lots of love and joy!
Celebrations of Learning / Report Cards
What a blessing it has been walking this journey with you and your child. We continue to be grateful for the partnerships that have developed to support your child's learning and growing - and oh, how they have grown!!
Thank you for taking this time to celebrate your child's learning and their adjustments to this recent learning format.
School Supply Lists & Staples Partnership
School Supply Lists will be posted on the OLA School website prior to July 15th. Through our excellent partnership with Staples, you may also wish to contact them for a convenient and quick way to get your child’s supplies. They will be accepting orders July 15th.
School Fees are now Past Due
All outstanding school fees are now past due. Please pay any balance remaining as soon as possible. Amounts owing after June 26, 2020 will be referred to collections. Fees may be paid on your PowerSchool ParentPortal. Thank you!
Demographic Confirmation Forms - PLEASE COMPLETE
LAST CHANCE BEFORE THE OFFICE CLOSES FOR THE SUMMER!
Please take a moment to complete your child's Demographic Confirmation Form.
EICS Demographic Confirmation Forms are available now on your PowerSchool ParentPortal - one for each child you have attending school with EICS.
Alberta Education requires that we obtain a detailed update of student demographics on an annual basis. School funding from Alberta Education is conditional on us receiving these updates and including them in your student’s record. More importantly, these forms ensure that we have the most current contact information if we need to reach you in event of an emergency.
Should you have any questions, or require assistance, please contact May-Lee in the office at 780-998-3716 and she will be happy to help.

Bottle Drive for Our Playgrounds
Fort Saskatchewan Catholic School Families,
With the CFEP grant we received in April we are so close to making this dream of building a playground at St. John Paul II a reality. However we still need to raise a little more to match the grant amount. With the continued support of both present and future students and their families we are very optimistic we could start construction on the JPII playground site next summer. Thank you for the help thus far!
Please keep all your recyclables for our bottle drive fundraiser.
When: SUNDAY, JULY 5th 1:00-3:30pm
Where: JP2 bus loop (9975-93 ave)
Who: Everyone and please share with your friends and family on social media!
What do I do when I arrive?: Because of Covid-19 we will be asking that drivers pull up to the side of the trailer and stay in the vehicle we will be wearing masks and gloves and will take the bottles out of your truck or trunk. Once we are done we will step away and wave :) If you would rather take it out of your vehicle please exit your vehicle and let us know and we will remain 6 feet away for your protection.
How can I help?: Besides sharing your bottles with us, we are looking for 2 drivers to do collections at other locations. People will place their bottles at the edge of their driveways for a fast and easy pick up. Once you have a full load we would unload from the truck or van at the school.
Can't make it but have bottles to donate?: If you can't make it during that time but have bottles you can do one of two things:
1. On Sunday anytime before 1:00 drop off your bottles on the sidewalk of the bus loop.
2. Anytime before Sunday email samledrew1@gmail.com or on Sunday you can text or call 780-722-4442 with your address and let us know you have bottles you need picked up!
Thank-you,
Your FSCSPS Chairs

Dear friends,
With great joy I am able to announce that we will be able to slowly resume the celebration of public masses. Within the current guidelines given to us, Fr. Daniel and I will be doing our utmost to ensure the regular reception of Holy Communion for all of you once again.
However, as I am sure you can imagine, with the guidelines given by the provincial government, as well as further considerations given by the Archdiocese, reinstatement of masses will be a more complicated affair than usual. I appreciate your patience in advance.
Some expectations that will be present when you return will be wearing a non-medical mask, being asked the government’s self-screening questions by a volunteer prior to entry, and other logistical considerations to maximize hygiene and ensure proper social distancing requirements.
Thank you everyone for your continued support through all of this. Fr. Daniel and I feel blessed to have you as parishioners. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call or email – we are anxious to work hard for you all. Stay tuned to the parish website/Facebook page or Flocknote for updates. Please be sure to spread the news to parishioners who do not have access to online communication.
In Christ,
Fr. Kris
