From the library
Where are the library books?! Look high and low! Search in cars, under beds, under couches, on bookshelves, in bathrooms, outside! You name it! All library books are due on Friday, May 13 (K - 4) and by the end of the day on Tuesday, May 17 for 5th grade. Thanks for looking!
We had wonderful bookmark contest entries to celebrate National School Library Month! Thanks to the many participants. The selection committee chose two stunning bookmarks. Congratulations to our two winners: Adam Thompson (2nd grade) and Elise Temple (5th grade). Their bookmarks are in the library for the whole school to use! (Below is their original artwork. We are printing on colored cardstock. I'll share those too!)

LIFE IS SHORT, MAKE IT SWEET
First grade is wrapping up their JA lessons this week. They have learned more about the connection between neighborhoods, businesses and families. Entrepreneur is a new vocabulary word that was discussed as well. Ask your child what they would like to be when they grow up. THANK YOU to all of our volunteers who dedicate their time every week!
Our 5th Graders had so much fun learning about and seeing Mammal Skulls this week in their SRC presentation! Thank you to our parents volunteers that stepped up and helped out!
