Centers and STEM Activities - REFI Grant

The Peak View Library will soon be getting hands on and mind-challenging centers and activity kits to use in the library. For the first few weeks, students will learn how to use each center/kit correctly, then they will be used in the library and with teachers and classes.

A Huge Thanks goes out to REFI - Rockingham Education Foundation, Inc.

Be on the lookout for pictures after break.

BreakOut Kits Awarded by REFI, too!

Peak View was also awarded a REFI grant to purchase items and put together Break Out Kits. These will be available for teacher check out and will be used with a variety of grades.

Mrs. Harter and Mrs. Thomas did one last year with kits from the County Office and, using skills from their grade level, open minds, and teamwork, all students from the class were able to work in two teams and solve multiple problems to open locks, boxes, and bags and arrive at the final solution. It was so much fun! We can hardly wait to have our own kits for Peak View.
