Daisy Garden Post
May Meetings & Events
We have our last 2 Daisy petals to cover this month and our goal is earn our Safety pin and the Global Action Patch.
During one of these 3 meetings we are looking into setting up a tour of the Police Station (since we are right there!). This will go along with earning our pink petal- "Respect Authority." And during another meeting I am hoping to have a couple of Brownies visit us to discuss what it is like to be a Brownie.
Due to everyones busy schedules I have decided to cancel our participation in the International Children's Festival.
I also want to acknowledge the extra effort our 2 newest Daisies(and their moms) have been making to earn the petals that we covered earlier in the year outside of our regular meeting times! Congratulations to Emily and Kaylee for earning your Daisy center and your Lupa and Sunny petals!
So moms, keep an eye out and heat up those irons(or pull out your sheet of "Patch Magic") because these patches will be coming home with your daughters from one of our May meeting!
Broom's Lullaby Farm
I do have herb gardens for those who were not able to attend-please let me know if you would like to make arrangements to pick them up or if you would just like me to bring them to the next meeting-Thanks!
We had discussed 3 possibilities before the start of sales but have since found out that the Candy store in town no longer does group tours.
The 3 choices that are now up for vote are: Paint'N'Pottery, Fabby Shabby or The Lucky Cupcake. Once the girls decide which they would like to do the most we will set a date for early June. At that time the girls will be not only have a fun day out but they will also be presented with their Cookie Sales patches and awards.
Alison and I are already in the process of planning our first Bridging Ceremony.
ON THAT NOTE!
Kindergarteners who are interested in continuing on as a Daisy in 2014-15, please go on line and register at your earliest convenience. I will be continuing as the leader of Troop #2058 but I am looking for someone to step up and start a Brownie troop for our 1st graders.
As of right now there is no Brownie troop at Gayman for your girls to bridge into. If anyone is interested in stepping up to lead a new troop or knows someone who might be interested please contact me so I can let you know what you/they need to do to get started.
Thanks in advance for any and all feedback and assistance with getting you girls into a Brownie troop! I look
